Escort Redline and Max are the only ones considered to be as good or better as far as I know. No one else has the rear radar detection or the arrows the V1 has, though, which is a big thing for me personally. Escorts are more expensive than the V1 also, but are newer design and have more features electronics/intelligence wise.

If you get a V1, get V1connection and turn on traffic monitor filter/TMF2 (and I turn off x band personally).

I love my Redline, it gives me excellent range and pretty good signal discrimination (fewer false alarms). The Valentine's have a nice feature with their arrows, but they are a few generations outdated. The Redline is also undetectable by Radar Detector Detectors used by cops in Virginia and the like.

Be advised, LIDAR will still burn your ass if you get hit.
